NASSAU COUNTY APPRAISALS

Overall, the real estate market in Nassau County has been strong over the last two years. According to the Multiple Listing Service, Median Sales Prices for Single Family and Multi-Family homes rose steadily from $475,000 in August 2015 to $530,000 in August 2017. The Median Sales Prices for Condominiums also increased significantly from $557,500 in August 2015 to $660,000 in August 2017. During that same time period, the Number of Properties Sold has remained relatively stable. In Nassau County, there were 1,267 sales of Single Family and Multi-Family homes in August 2015 as compared to 1,290 in August 2017. Similarly, there were 81 sales of Condominiums in August 2015 and 87 sales of Condominiums in August 2017. SUFFOLK APPRAISALS

The real estate market in Suffolk County has also remained strong. The last two years in Suffolk County has seen an overall increase in both Median Sales Price and Number of Properties Sold. According to the Multiple Listing Service, from August 2015 to August 2017, the median sales price for Single Family and Multi-Family homes rose steadily from $355,000 to $390,000, while the median sales price for Condominiums remained stable at $301,000. The number of Single Family and Multi-Family homes sold rose significantly from 1,267 in August 2015 to 1,594 in August 2016 and then dipped slightly in August 2017 to 1,536. Appraisal Subcommittee
